Out of all the various genres in my compilations, it appears that jazz is the least popular as I get the fewest comments from the jazz compilations. And it's only by your comments and feedback that I (and all music sharing blog operators) can gauge what is most popular and what isn't.
However, regardless of whether you like jazz or not, do yourselves a favour and have a good listen to today's jazz compilation: Best Of Jazz Vol 100 - Door Of The Cosmos Vol 02 - Ode To Sappho (1959-2024)
There are some truly remarkable tracks here for your listening pleasure in this very funky collection. Not just jazz buffs but everyone who likes good funky music, be it funky soul or funky rock, along with a few spacey/trippy things, will enjoy this one. Included among the many greats in this collection are: Carlos Santana, Jean-Luc Ponty, Gil Scott-Heron, John McLaughlin, Pharoah Sanders, Akiko Grace, Jack DeJohnette, Barbara Thompson, and Sun Ra.
I've been listen to it again today and digging it big time. So much so that it's going onto the flash drive in my car for frequent listening as I think it's the best jazz compilation I've compiled so far.
And Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel Records continues, now up to Volume 161 with 21 great tracks dating from 1950 to 2007. Presented here today are Jimmy Rogers, Eddie Lang, Delbert McClinton & Bonnie Raitt, Omar Kent Dykes & Jimmy Vaughn, Elmore James, Johnny Guitar Watson, Bobby 'Blue' Bland, Elder Samuel Patterson, and several other blues & gospel greats.
So dig in my friends and enjoy the great free music here today. Don't forget to check out "Bob's Cellar", always lots of interesting and varied albums posted in the Cellar.

You may recall some months ago I announced that in the future all compilations will have the recording years given along with the track titles. Well these are starting to appear now. In most cases it's easy for me to provide the recording year as it's included with the album artwork or found in booklets. However, some require a bit of internet searching, which usually yields fast results. Occasionally it gets tricky, particularly so with many Country Music artists who record and re-record the same songs over and over, making it difficult to determine which version I have. So to the best of my ability all years given are accurate. Of course if anyone feels that a particular year is incorrect then by all means let me know and I'll make corrections.
Also it was brought to my attention recently that not all tracks I use are true bitrates, and some are in fact upscaled lower bitrates. I knew this went on but didn't realize how wide spread it is until I started testing everything myself and discovered that there's so much fake flac out there, along with low bitrate (64, 96, 128, 192) that have been upscaled to 320kbps. Anyway, I'm now testing everything prior to including tracks into the compilations I'm currently building. So the good news is in the future all my compilations, whether MP3 320kbps or flac, will be true bitrates. However, due to the backlog of compilations I have waiting, it will take some time for these to appear on the blog.
As for the tracks that are rejected for not being true bitrates. Well, some will just get dumped, but many are rare recordings that only exist in their current low-bitrate form, so I guess as things move along I'll periodically put out special compilations of various-bitrate tracks.
Anyway my friends dig in and enjoy the good music shared here. Don't forget to take a few seconds to let me know what you're enjoying most. Also don't forget to keep looking in Bob's Cellar. The good people in there are sharing lots of great albums, and as always when you download something from Bob's Cellar please say thank you to those good people who generously post things for us all to enjoy.
