DeleteArt Blakey & Dizzy Gillespie's Blue “N” Boogie is just incredible. Where was this ‘Live’ recording made, and on which album? Thank you Bob
DeleteOops! Sorry, I already have the answer: at the Victoria Theatre in London '1971 with Thelonious Monk on piano, Sonny Stitt on tenor saxophone and Kai Winding on trombone, all giants. Apparently it's only been released on vinyl, not Cd. I absolutely must find a copy of this concert... Thanks for this Bob !
DeleteHi Patrick, good to hear you enjoyed this live album. Interesting that you asked where it was recorded. I made this live compilation up several months ago, and after I finished I thought I really should have included more info. So I made 2 more volumes up a few months back, and included where they were recorded along with the years.
DeleteThank You Bob
