ReplyDeleteEnjoy mate and dig in, plenty more coming.
DeleteHi Bob, some great shares here, many taking me back many years to many good times. Many thanks. Always liked Dinah Washington, her version of "September In The Rain" has the smoothest comping of any jazz guitar in about the 3rd or 4th bar. Superb version.
ReplyDeleteI think Dinah Washington was one of the greatest female blues singers of all time, she's primarily known as a jazz singer, and when blues buffs are tossing around names of great female blues singers you get the usual ones like: Bessie Smith, Koko Taylor, but rarely if ever will anyone mention Dinah Washington....but to my ears she was a superb blues singer.
DeleteThanks again Bob for more compilations. Some nice nuggets!
