  3. Hi Bob,
Firstly thanks for your superb ongoing uploads. When I go to "Home", I am shown the top item as the Patrick Sky CD.
Was I dreaming when I thought I saw later items or is that the up to date page? Trevor - Melbourne.

    1. Hi Trevor, I posted 3 albums, one after the other, 2 compilations, and the Patrick Sky LP. As the Sky LP was the last one I posted it takes the top position. But I'll post some more compilations later today and that will bump the Sky LP down.

  4. I did a double-take upon seeing you'd featured this Patrick Sky record, which I already have in both vinyl and digital form. I completely understand why you'd use the term "mind boggling" in connection with at least some of the songs. Even in the mid-eighties or so, when I first heard this stuff (and at a time when a lot of the punk/post-punk I was listening to was designed to seem iconoclastic, even offensive) I was surprised to encounter the -- well, it was way beyond mere insouciance, more like deliberate obnoxiousness at issue in "Child Molesting Blues" and "Bake Dat Chicken Pie." But "Ramblin' Hunchback," which I think of as a little pastiche of several Americana-related genres all at once, remains one of my favorite songs. And, more generally, the album as a whole strikes me as a masterpiece of, let's say, "protest music of sorts."

    1. Hi Crab Devil, yep it's a strange album, a deliberate over the top masterpiece. As I said above I'll now be posting some albums, not just my compilations, but I'll be focusing on weird things, and forgotten masterpieces.

  5. Sorry to be a pain in the ass, but posting official full length albums now makes this blog less interesting to me. Anyways, thanks for sharing ... even though I`m not downloading this one.

    1. I can't see how it makes the blog less interesting Maren, nothing has changed, the same compilations will continue, I'm just expanding a bit, offering some more choices. As for not downloading this, I don't expect anyone to d/l everything, just d/l what you want, and pass on what you don't want.
