RIP Tina Turner
Well I woke this morning to hear the sad news that we have lost Tina Turner. All the TV news stations are saying she was the Queen of Rock, I guess to many that is how Tina will be remembered, however she was also a mighty powerful blues singer. In case some of you don't have it, here is Ike & Tina's "Bold Soul Sister" which contains most of their finest blues recordings for Blue Thumb.
RIP Tina great voice and performer she will be missed!
ReplyDeleteYes what a sad news. I saw Tina Turner with Bruce Willis at first part in Paris several years ago. It is a huge souvenir. RIP Tina
ReplyDeleteWhat was Bruce Willis doing?
DeleteYou are so right, Bob. Her albums with Ike reflect her Blues' Soul. The album 'The Soul Of Ike & Tina Turner' is another example.
ReplyDeleteHi Yara, yes I have that album too, I'm pretty sure I have every available recording by I&T. But not everything Tina did afterwards.
DeleteBruce Willis sang. It was during the period of the Fifth element movie of Luc Besson. Bruce hairs were yellow and Bruce made an album of soul, funk and blues music. It was not so bad from an actor and not professional musician.
DeleteThe related album of Bruce Willis is the return of Bruno : https://www.discogs.com/fr/master/17404-Bruce-Willis-The-Return-Of-Bruno
DeleteShe will be forever in our hearts. Fly away peacefully, Tina.
