UPDATE

Thanks everyone for all your kind words of encouragement. Actually the situation isn't quite as bad as I first though. I found a decent recovery app yesterday and managed to recover approximately half of the lost compilations. So I've been busy compiling some replacements and I estimate the blog will be back to normal by this weekend. So check back in a couple of days and I reckon we'll be up and running.

Hi Bob,
It's a pity that this has happened. Glad you follow the golden rule of backups. And I am pleased to hear you found a good recovery program for some of your lost files that got away. These things are sent to test us, but I am sure you will have success and be up and running again soon.

About This Blog

Primarily this blog features my home-made compilations. The tracks in these compilations are from many sources. Some my own rips, but the majority were obtained over the years from countless blogs: some still active, and others long since gone. So my thanks and acknowledgement goes to those who did the original rips. There are too many to name, and anyway, after so many years I no longer remember which tracks came from which source. Some officially released albums are also regularly posted, however I won't be posting any newly released albums, but old, odd, rare, hard to find, interesting, curious albums, all released long ago and brought once again to your attention as, for various reasons, they deserve another listen.
