The Ferrets - Don't Fall In Love (1977)

Another great Aussie song, this time from Melbourne group "The Ferrets" with their 1977 hit record "Don't Fall In Love". This was actually the B Side of their first single "Lies". Apparently the band had spent weeks in the recording studio working on "Lies" but knocked up the B Side track in a mere 3 hours. And it was the B Side song that shot the group into the pop charts and to overnight success. The band consisted of lead singer & guitarist Billy Miller, his two gorgeous sisters Jane & Pam, along with a few other musicians who had played with Billy in a previous band. Unfortunately "The Ferrets" were a one-hit-wonder band and pretty well vanished after "Don't Fall In Love" dropped from the hit charts. Though Billy Miller continued a career in music, theatre, and recording.
