  2. Thanks Bob for today's selections, all winners. I am pleasantly surprised to see The Everly Brothers - The Girl Who Sang The Blues. Both sides of the single were played on KJR, Seattle, WA late fall 1963, but this was the side I really liked. A couple weeks later The Beatles showed up and the music that had been low to middle on the charts was obliterated and totally forgotten by most people.

    1. Hi tsi&hrjs, yep the Beatles changed many things and pretty well wiped the old rock & roll cats from the scene. In Australia the change was so fast, overnight a lot of established artists were over. The ones who survived combed their hair forward, grew it long and washed out the oil.

    1. Hi moze, agreed, they were both great artists. I saw the Big O live in concert in Australia in 1965, he was a support act for the Rolling Stones. The Killer was going to play a concert in Perth in the early 1970s and I had tickets but the show was cancelled and he only played the Eastern States of Australia.
