ReplyDeleteCheers Manny, glad you enjoyed this one.
DeleteR&R? Country? A rose by any other name.... it's the same artists doing both. music is music. Doesn't need a genre label. thanx Bob for another volume.
ReplyDeleteCheers moze, glad you enjoy this: it's interesting how various genres blend, like country/rock & roll/gospel, Elvis & JLL being obvious examples of artists who moved with ease between them. And blues/soul/R&B/jazz, with numerous black artists performing in all fields.
DeleteBob, this is a real winner - some alternative versions by different performers. Homer and Jethro, ah! I must dig out their "Battle of Kookamonga" which I think was on an RCA 45rpm. Great stuff, keep it coming. Best, Terry Peck.
