Thanks for this post, Bob. One correction to the track listing, if I may. Track 5 is Rev. Gatemouth Moore and his Gospel Singers. Moore is the blues shouter who made the move to the church in the late 1940s. Clarence Gatemouth Brown stayed in R & B and blues until he passed.
ReplyDeleteHi bluesandrhythm, yes thanks for your quick response on this. When I posted this morning and saw that track I thought it didn't look right, and should be Rev. Gatemouth Moore, but I did a search and on the album I got the track from it is listed as Rev. Gatemouth Brown. I know it's not Clarence Gatemouth Brown but wasn't sure if it was in fact another artist using that name, or most likely a typo by whoever did the track listing on the album. Anyway I figured someone would let me know soon enough. Thanks again for your feedback.
