I was listening to this CD "Gettin' Down & Nasty" by Albert Storo & The Soul Hustlers on my car CD player the other day. It was the first time in some years since I last heard it, and I had forgotten just how good it is, and what an outstanding guitarist Albert is. Around the middle of the 1990s I was selling some blues albums online and Albert Storo contacted me regarding an LP he was interested in. We ended up becoming good friends and chatted frequently for many years via emails. In 2007 when his first CD was released Albert kindly mailed me a few complimentary copies. Anyway, I've selected it for "Albums That Deserve Another Listen", and hope you all enjoy it as much as I do.

"Soul Party Volume 109" today brings you another Soul/Gospel special titled "Hold On I'm Coming", with 20 great tracks ranging from 1957 to 2024. Lots of outstanding artists here: The Staple Singers, Marie Knight, Solomon Burke, Bobby Womack, O.V. Wright, Clara Ward, and other noted soul and gospel singers.

And for your listening pleasure "Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel Records" continues to Volume 245, with tracks dating from 1952 to 2023, by Slim Harpo, Sam Dees, Ike Turner, Magic Sam, Johnny Tucker, Anita O'Day, Lefty Bates, Ally Venable Band, Harold Burrage, and several others.
