  1. Thanks! Junior Brown rips. I wonder if his stolen guit-steel was ever recovered?

    1. Hi Berni, I don't know anything about Junior Brown's guitar, it does seem lots of these big guys get their instruments stolen often.

    2. Junior commissioned the production of the guit-steel—a double-necked instrument that combined a guitar and a full-sized lap steel. He had been playing it for almost 35 years, with it sitting on a small stand on stage. There are only two primary guit-steel guitars in existence, one is in a museum in Atlanta, the other, his signature "Big Red", was stolen. A real gut punch for him I'm sure. I saw him playing it at a club show.

    3. Hi Berni, yes I've seen live vids of him playing that double neck guitar on a stand, interesting that there were only two made. It must have been fun to see him play live.

  2. Thanks for all the memories Bob, reminds me of when I was young when I worked in a bar and lots of good old country bands played there. Wayne D

    1. Hi Wayne, I also done a bit of bar work in my younger days, mostly there weren't live bands but one big pub I worked at in the 1970s had live bands, mostly rock groups. It was fun.

  3. Your "Drunk" Theme today reminded me of the difference between Country AND Western Music. Country Music you sit on a bar stool, get drunk and hit on your neighbor's wife. Western Music you sit on your Horse, get drunk and hit on your neighbor's sheep.
