IF YOU DOWNLOAD AND ENJOY THIS THEN YOUR COMMENT - FEEDBACK - THANKS WILL BE IMMENSELY APPRECIATED

Thanks Bob, surprised to see Ernest Tubb on a Blues Comp, can't wait to hear it. Mike 👍
ReplyDeleteHope you enjoy it Mike, my usual eclectic mixes, so many different artists doing different blues.
DeleteThanks so much, Bob!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Concha, quite a few old rare tracks I managed to dig up for this one.
Deletelove it.......thanks Bob!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it cabledogg2...plenty more coming.
DeleteThanks, Bob. I've downloaded both of today's (March 29) mixes, but so far I've only listened to the "Bluemen Sing the Whites" volume, which I've been enjoying very much. I do have a soft spot for recordings that in one way or another evoke what the critic Greil Marcus has called "the Old Weird America." This particular compilation has that in spades, with the Buell Kazee version of "Poor Boy" serving as just one example.
ReplyDeleteHi Crab Devil, glad to hear you enjoyed this one. Yes, quite a few old rare and odd tracks in this. With this white men doing the blues series I have aimed to largely stay away from all the obvious ones and present lesser known and more obscure artists. Thanks for your feedback, most welcomed.
DeleteHi Bob,
ReplyDeleteOnce again many thanks Bob and I have a suggestion. If you want to encourage more comments perhaps you might consider removing the links of the front (home) page and only publish them on the individual compilation page.
After all I have (and no doubt others do as well) browser add-ons which can harvest every single link on a page (for example there are 29 currently on the home page) which means in theory I could turn up every couple of weeks and spend 5 minutes on the site to set up 50 plus downloads. However if you make users go into every compilations individual page you are encouraging them to spend more time on the site and by putting the comments in front of their nose they'd be more likely (if nudged as you have today) to respond.
Just a thought.....
Thank you Anona for your very helpful comment. However I don't completely understand everything you suggest. If I don't put the links on the main page, but put the links into the comments section of each individual compilation? Is this what you are suggesting?
DeleteThanks a lot!
ReplyDeleteThanks for all 106 Volumes in this series
