ReplyDeleteI still have the 71 in my head, so this one is priority for today... Thank you very much Bob!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Patrick 👍
DeleteThanks Bob, i am always torn when i see Ike Turners name, between the music and his abusive nature and most times i chose the music, is that ok? Mike. 🤔
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, it doesn't interest or concern me at all what a musician or singer got up to in his or her private lives. If we started to judge them all by today's standards and followed the cancel culture trend there wouldn't be much left to listen to. Ike was a brilliant guitar player and an outstanding all round musician, that's all I'm concerned about.
DeleteYou're right, Bob!
DeleteThank you for this post! very good music (5 pieces of Blues Boy King!), mainly with memphis blues for the others!
I've just bought the Memphis Blues box (Bear-Family). 20 discs! from the 20'S to 60'S, and a lot of rarities. The booklet has more than 300 pages, with great pictures and with all the details of the musicians, the studios, and the life in Memphis etcEtc...
