ReplyDeleteYou're welcome buddy, enjoy.
DeleteThank You XXXII Looking forward to playing Roger Miller's Hot Rod Lincoln (I forgot he recorded the song),,, always thought it was a "hoot" when Commander Cody and his Lost Planet Airmen sang it.
ReplyDeleteHi moze, thanks for your comment, glad you enjoy my compilations. 😁
DeleteThanks Bob another great selection, any info on "Laura Lee Perkins" can't recall hearing or seeing her in my travels? Mike.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, Laura Perkins was a female rockabilly singer and piano player who enjoyed some success in the 1950s but kinda faded after she married and had a family, though she did later have a bit of a comeback. Her record company added the "Lee" to her hame and promoted her as the female Jerry Lee Lewis. She passed away in 2018.
DeleteHi Bob, Hope you don't mind a little nit-picking, but Gerri Granger is singular with no "s". Thanks for including this song which I had not heard before. Another very good song by her is "You Mus Be Doing Something Right" from October 1965.
ReplyDeleteHi tsi&hrjs, thanks for pointing that out, to tell the truth I'm not too clued up on Gerri's career and recordings. I forget now where I got this track, but it came to me with this spelling and I didn't know any different. But thanks again for pointing this out, and if I use any more tracks by her I'll bear in mind the correct spelling.
DeleteThis one is definitely one of your all time best, thank you Bob. I see Last Kiss by Wayne Cochran there, you would be amazed at the number of people over here that don't know he wrote and released that song a few years before J. Frank Wilson & The Cavaliers (which many think was the original).
ReplyDeleteThanks Done4it, I'm very happy you enjoy this one.
