 The Daily Chat

A chatbox where we can post comments and have discussions on artists & songs. However, if you just want to say thank you for a particular post then please continue using the usual comment box located below each post.

Today's Assorted Recordings - Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel Vol 26 serves you up 21 tracks dating from (Young) Johnny Guitar Watson's "Space Guitar" a wild instrumental recorded for Federal in 1954, through to 1998 with Libby McLaren & Ronnie Gilbert's "Empty Pocket Blues". Other artists featured here today include The Isley Brothers, Shelton Dunaway, Phil Guy, Buddy Miles, Bob Dylan, June Yamagishi, Ernie K-Doe, and Artie 'Blues Boy' White.

And our Assorted Best Of Jazz series, now up to Volume 46 - "A Handful Of Great Female Jazz Singers Volume 2". Volume 1 of Great Female Jazz Singers was featured some months ago and was predominantly the black female Jazz & R&B singers, so with Volume 2 for a change I've focused solely on the noted white female jazz singers. Lots of greats here today: Julie London, Peggy Lee, Anita O'Day, Helen Merrill, Blossom Dearie, Irene Kral and several others.

Also note that following the advice of one of our blog members I've now added a "My Followers" list to the blog, so please add yourself to the list.

And remember, now that this blog is public all music fans are welcome here, therefore feel free to spread the word around your friends and share the blog address.
