ReplyDeleteHi AMM, glad to you like.
DeleteNot a big Jazz fan Bob but I do like the ladies you have here, Julie-Jeri-Sarah and of course the great Nat King Cole, Thanks. Mike.
ReplyDeleteHi Mike, I'm not a huge jazz fan myself, and I'm not as knowledgeable about jazz as I am with Blues/R&B. The jazz I do like is mainly black/bop, which doesn't wander far from the blues. Mostly when selecting tracks for my jazz comps you will notice they are pretty close to the blues/R&B/soul in feeling and sound.
DeleteXlnt Bob. There's a reason that jazz is a university subject and I suspect that long after todays offerings are long forgotten it still will be. It's not everyones cup of tea but many of us drink coffee! Thanks.
ReplyDeletehi Albert, yes it's serious music, very much like classical music inasmuch you can't bullshit your way in jazz or classical. One can bullshit their way in rock & roll, punk, even blues, get by with very limited musical knowledge and skills, but no way in jazz or classical.
