Thanx #43 for another Hillbilly Post. (Completely unrelated subject).. and I don't wanna screw up your roll call threads so I'll ask here ... just wondering if you ever heard an Australian Husband & Wife duo (Ged & Trudy Hines)? Took me years to get some of their albums. I don't think anyone outside Australia ever heard of them but me. They are a great C&W group the world has never heard of.
ReplyDeleteThanks for your comment moze. I think I'll drop the roll call idea. I don't want it to turn into a witch hunt. Things are rolling along nicely enough and I don't want to introduce a bad vibe into the blog.
Deletemy bad, spelled their name wrong... it's Ged & Trudy Hintz
ReplyDeleteNever heard of them moze. To tell the truth I don't have any interest in Aussie C&W.
DeleteThank you for another fine compilation Bob.
ReplyDeleteThanks again. ... Since you live in Australia, can you recommend some Australian Country bands/artists? Also, since you`ve lived in Thailand, can you recommend some Thai bands/artists (all styles)?
ReplyDeleteHi Maren, can't help out with any Aussie Country music, I have no idea beyond the obvious ones like Kasey Chambers and Keith Urban. Though I did see the Slim Dusty show live in Carnarvon Town Hall in 1977. I do have a rather large collection of Thai music that I've downloaded from various sites over the years.
