A bit of a change from the blues/R&B today as we have volume 4 in the Soul Party series: Hot Pants Party. 22 Soul gems from Candi Staton, Solomon Burke, Otis Redding, Patti Labelle & The Bluebelles, Eddie & Ernie, Jr. Walker & The All Stars, Al 'TNT' Braggs, and several others.

And volume 31 in the Assorted Hillbilly & Country Recordings series brings us 23 Country gems from The Stanley Brothers, Carl Perkins, Charline Arthur, Ricky Skaggs, Joe South, Ray Price & The Cherokee Cowboys, and other country artists.

Primarily this blog features my home-made compilations. The tracks in these compilations are from many sources. Some my own rips, but the majority were obtained over the years from countless blogs: some still active, and others long since gone. So my thanks and acknowledgement goes to those who did the original rips. There are too many to name, and anyway, after so many years I no longer remember which tracks came from which source. Some officially released albums are also regularly posted, however I won't be posting any newly released albums, but old, odd, rare, hard to find, interesting, curious albums, all released long ago and brought once again to your attention as, for various reasons, they deserve another listen.
