Thanks for this one. I`m looking forward to more volumes in this series. ... Love the cover ...
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Maren, I recently made 5 volumes up, I have plenty more jazz tracks put aside so this series will run a long time. From time to time I'll put together a specific jazz compilation, like all jazz guitar tracks, or all jazz piano, and so on.
DeleteNice collection, Bob. Hampton Hawes is one of my fav jazz pianists but not well known. Looking forward to future jazz comps.
ReplyDeleteGlad you like it Mike, thanks for your comment.
DeleteHampton Hawes definitely, Wynton Kelly, Red Garland, so many in my top three! Then there's Thelonious, Oscar, a few Bills......Great instrument, everything laid out logically in black and white. Pity they aren't portable. Thanks Bob. Best Dinah Washington track for me is "September In The Rain". The backing is wonderful as well as her singing.
ReplyDeleteHi Albert, I'll be working on a few more specific jazz compilations very soon. I certainly have a purely jazz guitar and jazz piano in mind.
