Here's Soul Party Volume 09 - Get Down With It: 20 great rockin' soul tracks from Bobby Marchan, Wilson Pickett, Otis Redding, Marvin Gaye, Johnny Adams, The Isley Brothers, Sam Cooke, Jackie Wilson, The Impressions, and several other greats from the world of soul music.

And for some reason I've now completely forgotten, when I got to compiling tracks for the Best Of Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel Volume 69 I decided to double up and make it a 2 CD compilation, and I carried this on over Volumes 69, 70, 71, 72. Furthermore when I got to Volume 76, again for reasons I no longer remember, I decided that Vol 76 would be a 4 CD compilation, but I have since broken Vol 76 down to a 2 CD set and created two additional volumes in this series: Volume 100 & Volume 101. Anyway, for the next few days you'll be getting a double dose of Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel. Highlights of today's post include a couple of Christmas blues from Goree Carter and Freddie King, plus James Brown, Al 'TNT' Braggs, Allen Toussaint, Buddy Ace, Magic Sam, Lee Dorsey, Earl Gaines, Johnnie Bassett, and many many more fine artists.

So dig in and enjoy.

About This Blog

Primarily this blog features my home-made compilations. The tracks in these compilations are from many sources. Some my own rips, but the majority were obtained over the years from countless blogs: some still active, and others long since gone. So my thanks and acknowledgement goes to those who did the original rips. There are too many to name, and anyway, after so many years I no longer remember which tracks came from which source. Some officially released albums are also regularly posted, however I won't be posting any newly released albums, but old, odd, rare, hard to find, interesting, curious albums, all released long ago and brought once again to your attention as, for various reasons, they deserve another listen.
