  1. You're exploring some fine jazz territory here Bob. "Au Bar Du Petit Bac" from a most intriguing album (for me) by Miles Davis. What a title for an album and film : something like "the steps to the scaffold". Sixty five years old now. Two years later he would come up with "Kind Of Blue". Some say "Ascenseur pour l'échafaud" was a pre-curser. I read that Davis only gave the musicians a few rudimentary harmonic sequences and the band improvised without any precomposed theme on both albums. Sheer brilliance, not only on Miles' part but also on the part of the other musicians Wow, to have been a fly on the wall! Thankyou
