Today's Volume 53 in the Best Of Blues, R&B, Soul & Gospel brings 22 tracks from 1951-2020. Included here is the wonderful 'Roll Your Moneymaker' & 'Call Me If You Need Me' by Shakey Jake Harris & Magic Sam recorded in 1958 for the Artistic label (Artistic 1502). I need to point out that in my recent blues guitar compilation 'Red Hot, Down & Dirty Blues Guitar Tracks' 'Call Me If You Need Me' was included, however the date of 1964 was incorrect. I later corrected it on the tracklist posted on this blog, but the tracklists included in the folder after downloading still have this incorrect date. Anyway, in all 4 great tracks from Shakey Jake Harris today, plus the rocking Annisteen Allen, a couple of nice bluesy numbers from Jimmy McGriff, an interesting take on 'The Girl From Ipanema' by The Watts 103rd Street Rhythm Band, along with many other fine recordings.

For my hillbilly & country friends there's The Louvin Brothers, Grandpa Jones, Bobbie Gentry, The Stanley Brothers, Porter Wagoner, Conway Twitty, Flatt & Scruggs, Johnny Cash, Kitty Wells, and many others.

Enjoy the music and enjoy your weekends.
